Crock Pot Beef Stew Recipe
You know that Grandma Janet is an incredible cook when she can inspire this Crock Pot Beef Stew Recipe from her son...Kelly Bates. | Yes, the same Kelly Bates on the B.C. Lions, CFL team. Here he is pumping the Grey Cup after the Lions defeated Montreal 25-14 in 2006. Maybe we will get in Saskatchewan some day... This recipe goes out to all the cooks raising great kids - becoming great men and women...feed 'em well! |
This is an awesome BBQ sauce, without the 'smoke' flavor. Everyone loves this recipe and I normally triple the recipe and freeze it in small batches.. It will stay good in the fridge for only about 2 weeks. In a saucepan over medium heat... Stir until it comes to a simmer, leave for about 5 minutes at least. Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups of ketchup 1 cup red wine vinegar 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup of soy sauce 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons of dry mustard 2 tablespoons of chili powder 1 teaspoon ground ginger 2 cloves of minced garlic 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 3 slices of lemon Now all you have to do is enjoy! This sauce is really good in the slow cooker, but on the BBQ you can put it on towards the end of cooking. Because its got a ton of sugar it can burn. It sorta wrecked a meal for me once. Feel free to have me over for a good meal with my sauce!! From Kelly.
